The thing you needed is...you have to control your emotion.
As a blogger, you might be not able to earn money in a short term period. You need to create the traffic, create the leads. Once your traffic and leads is there then you are earn.
The point is...do you patient enough to blog everyday even there is no traffic/lead/viewer?
As an affiliate, your blog/website traffic and leads will affect on your sales volume.

Think...why you cant make any traffic/leads? Your article not enough attractive? Your blog design not suitable? Your article title choose wrongly?
There must a reason why you cant but others can!
